From the earliest vineyards of the Cape to the modern wines defining South Africa today, each glass reveals another chapter in the story. Exceptional wines are paired with artisan cheeses, charcuterie, and carefully selected bites as we travel through the Cape’s remarkable wine regions. THE SIGNATURE JOURNEY 6 Wines | Approximately 90 Minutes The perfect introduction to South Africa through six carefully selected wines. Explore the country's distinctive grape varieties, important wine regions, and unique sense of place while discovering the stories behind the wines. Includes: artisan cheeses and charcuterie, curated pairings, professional stemware, guided storytelling, and complete setup and breakdown. THE EXTENDED JOURNEY 8 Wines | Approximately 2 Hours For those who want to linger a little longer. The Extended Journey expands the story with additional regions, grape varieties, and styles, allowing more room for comparison and discovery. Explore how climate, geography, tradition, and winemaking shape the wines of the Cape. Includes: an expanded wine selection, additional pairings, artisan cheeses and charcuterie, storytelling, professional stemware, and complete setup and breakdown. THE GRAND CAPE JOURNEY 10 Wines | Approximately 2½ Hours The complete Cape experience. Travel from the earliest days of viticulture at the Cape through Constantia, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Swartland, and beyond. History, culture, geography, and remarkable wines come together in one immersive evening. The journey may culminate with a special final pour chosen to give the evening a memorable sense of place and history. Includes: 10 wines, an expanded pairing experience, artisan cheeses and charcuterie, professional stemware, maps and visual storytelling, and complete setup and breakdown. This is more than a tasting. It is an evening in the Cape.
Cancellation Policy
Every Pairings by Patrick experience is thoughtfully prepared specifically for your gathering. Because each experience involves advance planning, wine selection guidance, food and pairing preparation, equipment, and dedicated time, reservations are confirmed according to the following guidelines. Booking Your Experience All experiences are available by advance reservation. To request an experience, please submit an inquiry through the Pairings by Patrick website or contact Patrick directly. Your date and time are not considered confirmed until you receive written confirmation from Pairings by Patrick and the required booking payment has been received. Experiences are available for private gatherings in your home or another mutually agreed-upon location. Guest Count Your final guest count helps determine the appropriate amount of wine, food, glassware, and other materials needed for your experience. A final guest count will be requested before your event. Changes to the guest count may affect the final experience fee. Please notify Pairings by Patrick as soon as possible if your guest count changes. Wine Pairings by Patrick provides the expertise, curation, storytelling, food pairings, service, and presentation for your experience. Unless otherwise specified, wine is purchased separately by the client. Patrick may provide wine recommendations and a shopping list based on the selected experience, guest count, and desired budget. Clients are responsible for purchasing and having the selected wines available at the event. Special Requests Dietary restrictions, allergies, accessibility considerations, and other special requests should be communicated as early as possible. While every effort will be made to accommodate reasonable requests, Pairings by Patrick cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Final Confirmation A final confirmation will be provided before your event with the agreed-upon details. By confirming your reservation, the client acknowledges and agrees to the Booking Policy and Cancellation Policy.
